Once I restarted my computer, Plex was able to access the folders on the external drive. You may be able to run &lt;code&gt;sudo mount -a&lt;/code&gt; and/or &lt;code&gt;sudo service plexmediaserver restart&lt;/code&gt; instead of rebooting.</div>
